THESE ARE THE DOCUMENTS THAT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO CHERWELL DISTRICT COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL.
Once approved by the Parish Council, the Neighbourhood Plan will be submitted to Cherwell District Council for independent examination.

Main Policy Document This is the core document of the plan and details its specific policies and objectives. It also covers the development of the plan, how it fits into the overall planning process and some brief background on the two villages.
Appendix 1 – Baseline Evidence This document gives expanded detail on the background in the two villages. It looks at their history and development, population structure, climate, biodiversity, environmental factors and a number of other factors that may influence thier future development
Appendix 2 – Community Survey Report This reports the findings of the community survey undertaken in March 2023. This survey detailed the views of the residents regarding current and future issues that could or should be addressed by the Neighbourhood Plan. These include housing, the environment and transport.
Appendix 3 – Character Assessment This is a survey that was undertaken to identify the key features within the built environment that contribute to the distinctive features in the various areas of the two villages. This survey was then used to inform the Design Code in appendix 5.
Appendix 4 – Key Concepts and Definitions These are the three main concepts behind the Design Code.
Appendix 5 – Design Code It is more than likely that Bletchingdon, in particular, will grow in the years that the plan covers. The code details what form the design of any new housing, or modifications, should take in order to maintain the existing character of the villages. This includes not only the design of housing but also the materials used and the layout and nature of the surrounding area.
Appendix 6 – Bletchingdon Conservation Plan (2013) This work undertaken by Bletchingdon Parish Council gives a detailed survey of the habitats within the Parish and the wildlife to be found there. It has been updated to include recent changes.
Appendix 7 – Local Green Spaces Assessment This document proposes the addition of Hodgeman’s Spinney to the local list of green spaces.
Appendix 8 – Community Infrastructure Projects This document details a number of suggestions for improvements to the village infrastructure. Your suggestions for additional items would be welcome.
