Cherwell District Council recently published its proposals for new housing in Bletchingdon. These FAQ’s produced for the Parish Council provide some background information on what is a complex and controversial subject. A QUICK GUIDE TO THE CHERWELL LOCAL PLAN AND BLETCHINGDON
In January 2025 Cherwell District Council published its local plan to 2042. This is a very quick guide to how it might affect Bletchingdon with particular regard to housing.
The current steering group was set up in June 2022 and given the go ahead by Cherwell District Council in October 2022. We obtained an initial government grant in late November and were then able to appoint consultants to help we our work. The first public consultation meeting was held on Wednesday 18 January 2023.

- We have appointed Community First Oxfordshire as our consultants. We are currently working with Tom McCulloch and Steve McKenna.
