One of the main functions of the Parish Council is to review planning applications that affect the village. All applications are handled and determined by Cherwell District Council – the job of the Parish Council is to comment on their suitability from a Village perspective.
The Planning Applications within the Parish are considered at the monthly Parish Council Meetings by Parish Councillors. When a new application arrives at the Parish Council, it will be posted as a news item on this website by the Clerk.
The District Council no longer publish a full list of applications in the local papers, but they do inform neighbours of any application that may affect them. Planning Applications can also be viewed and commented on using the Cherwell planning portal.
If you would like any advice, Cherwell District Council offer an advice service, for a fee to be confirmed with them. Please see the following link for further information. https://www.cherwell.gov.uk/info/115/planning-process/206/planning-advice-and-queries/4
