Cherwell District Council are delighted to advise you that in order to maximise the impact within our communities and for our most vulnerable residents, the Oxfordshire Local Government family have come together to coordinate our effort. They are getting ready to receive the first consignment of emergency food for this vulnerable group and will use a wide network of volunteers and local organisations, coordinated through the District Council to ensure these essential supplies reach the people that need them. This is in response to the Governments shielding programme.Vulnerable residents in Cherwell District can call the dedicated team on 01865 89 78 20 or emailshield@oxfordshire.gov.uk. This will be operational from 8:30am to 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and 9:00am – 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
