Good neighbours are being sought by Bletchingdon Parish Council.
As weather forecasters predict the coldest winter for many years, the council is looking to create a snow warden scheme.
It is seeking volunteers who will keep pavements and roads where they live free of snow and ice.
The council’s Neighbourhood Snow Warden Scheme sees community-minded men and women organise the gritting of roads and pavements outside their own and their neighbour’s homes.
The council supplies everything the volunteers need.
