One of the main functions of the Parish Council is to review planning applications that affect the village. All applications are handled and determined by Cherwell District Council – the job of the Parish Council is to comment on their suitability from a village perspective.
The Planning Applications within the Parish are considered at the monthly Parish Council Meetings by Parish Councillors. The Applications to be discussed will be listed in the Agenda ahead of the meeting and when a new application arrives at the Parish Council it will be posted as a news item on this website by the Clerk. Click here for Planning Application Procedure.
The District Council no longer publish a full list of applications in the local papers, but they do inform neighbours of any application that may affect them. Planning Applications can also be viewed and commented on using the Cherwell planning portal.
